Yesterday, I unlocked a life goal: We saw mountain goats in the wild. What’s more impressive is that we planned this trip the night before: “Hey, I’m going to skip riding; let’s try to see some goats.” An hour’s drive and two hours of hiking later, we’re sitting watching this herd graze. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Observing the herd’s behavior as they slowly moved along the hillside was interesting. The alpha male would occasionally push a younger male off of a rock, and they’d settle down for a few minutes before returning to “king of the hill” shenanigans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
