I\u2019ve been shooting photos around Washington state for a while, and my photos mostly lived on Instagram and my hard drive. A feed scrolls past in a second. I wanted something you could hold, so I made a zine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zine 01 is eight pages, and the whole thing folds from a single sheet of 8.5×11 paper with one cut. The cover is a field of pink tulips. Inside there\u2019s a train at night, a squirrel sitting in a flower pot, yellow flowers in golden sunset light, and a couple of concert shots with the stage lights blown out in yellow and green. It\u2019s a mix because that\u2019s how I shoot. I don\u2019t stick to one subject, so I put the pictures I liked best next to each other and let them sit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The photo selection is random for this one, but photos that I love and which also received a lot of attention on Instagram. I hope you enjoy them as well!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I sell it as a $5 digital download so you can print it yourself. It\u2019s one PDF. Print it at full size with no borders, on letter or A4. The listing includes a folding diagram, but here\u2019s the short version:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Fold the sheet in half the long way, then the short way, and unfold both creases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Fold the short sides in to the center crease.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Fold it the short way again and cut one panel deep along the center crease. The cut will span two panels\/photos.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Open it into a plus shape, then collapse it into a little booklet.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The back cover has a QR code to my Instagram, @gerry_creighton<\/a>, so if you like what you see, there\u2019s more there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
